Big Eyes

Has anyone seen Big Eyes? I have and although the paintings are interesting it is quite extraordinary, the art. When I first had heard the name I thought it was going to be a weird and boring movie. Instead it made my mind more broad and think about the meaning of art. I was actually surprised the movie was based on a true story. The artist who made this happen, name is Margaret Keane. Margaret was married and had a child then divorced and remarried after relocating to San Francisco. After all the events that took place Walter Keane (her second husband) plagiarized and took credit for her work. In the end, for all the pain Walter had caused Margaret, she ended up having won justice. There is a quote by Margaret Keane and it is a favorite, it says, "Gradually it dawned on me that I was painting my own inner emotions. Those children were asking: 'Why are we here? What is life all about? Why is there sadness and injustice?' All those deep questions. Those children were sad because they didn't have the answers. They were searching." —Margaret Keane

Where did they come up with that?

Does anyone ever wonder where in the world a person with talent came up with a crazy idea that they thought? I think a lot about those things sometimes, which in my case it would be overthinking. I mean of coarse there had to of been a moment in their life that something either horrific or wonderful happened to them. It's the thought that counts, I remember hearing that from somewhere.  That is why I think it's kind for people that care about their work are willing to sell their art to help save a life in need.  If you think about it the artist is willing to sell their work, that they put effort and their time into, to help someone suffering. Sometimes I wonder what's it like to be in the mind of an artist. And to see how they see world, imagine having the 'eyes' of an artist (if that makes any sense). If I could one whole day, think like an artist and and feel what it's like to be one, I would understand them in an interesting way. I would not mind to have an artistic mind.

Which is your favorite season?

Which season is your favorite season? I don't exactly have a favorite. Although there are advantages and disadvantages. For winter I like the music but sometimes it can get annoying. I do like the presents and holiday treats. In autumn I like halloween because of the candy and fun activities. Spring is alright I like the rain, but sometimes it can ruin your plans. Snow just like rain can make me feel sometimes down, not to mention get you sick. But it's the same with any season, well some. For summer there is so much you can do, like go to a swimming pool, a water park, soak up some sun or eat ice cream without getting chills and much more.

The power of color

Does anyone remember Edward Scissorhands? It was kind of a childhood movie that I remember, I didn't watch the movie not long ago but it wasn't recent. When I watched the movie it made me realize how much of an impact color can have on a scenery and the mood. Not to mention how weird it was and some things that I completely didn't remember in the movie. As I was watching the movie I couldn't help but be bothersome by the towns people with their cheery voice and ugly bright colored sense of fashion. Although it was made in the early 90's the acting wasn't exactly great, at least in my opinion. I thank Tim burton for bringing color into our lives. And with all his crazy weird ideas give people the opportunity, who felt like an outcast dream and feel like they can fit in. Please leave a comment in your opinion of the movie. I would enjoy to see what other people think.
